Company Profile
Jancy Engineering was founded in 1957 by Jack Wiedman and Ben Rowley. Initially, the company's only product was the Roto-Bor, a sheet metal cutter. The product line expanded in the late 1970s with the addition of portable magnetic drills, and a few years later Jancy began offering tools for cutting holes in thicker materials. Jancy's first patent was applied for in the late 1980's and the Slugger Cutter was born: a centre-free tool capable of cutting through material several inches thick. In the 1990s Jancy's product line expanded with the addition of the Special Products division, which offered products that further emphasized Jancy's leadership in the metal fabrication industry.
Jancy Engineering is a well-recognized manufacturer of Slugger portable magnetic drills and annular cutters. Jancy has a fleet of demonstration vehicles that travel nationwide, presenting a "tradeshow on wheels" to customers and showcasing the entire Jancy product line. |
